I am absolutely in love with this moisturizer. It didn't irritate my skin or break me out and it's gentle enough for around my eyes. The gel texture is great; it feels like my skin is drinking it up. I thought I'd never use another moisturizer in my life, however, I'm 99% positive it's been discontinued. I e-mailed Neutrogena and am awaiting a reply. They no longer offer it on their site and it isn't available on drugstore.com anymore either. I don't know what I'm going to do without my HG moisturizer. :[

I am LOVING this moisturiser.
I went on the hunt for a new moisturiser when Olay changed the formula of their Complete UV Defense "Sensitive" and it broke me out like crazy and made my face look like an oil slick.
I decided to try an oil-free moisturiser in the hope of returning my face to some sort of normality. Anyways, I saw this at the chemist and the reviews on hear are pretty good so I decided to give it a go.
It has a kind of gel like consistency which just absorbs right into the skin leaving no residue whatsoever but leaves my skin feeling really silky. My skin feels moisturised without feeling like I've put anything on. It is a dream under my mineral foundation too! I normally use Clarins Instant Perfecting Touch as a makeup primer but find that I don't need it ant more for my everyday makeup with this moisturiser. My face does not turn into an oil slick during the day and my makeup looks fresh all day!
Best of all, it has not broken me out!! In fact, most of the black heads/congestion that was caused by Olay has now subsided.
I will definitely continue to use this. Please don't discontinue this Neutrogena!!

I'll start by saying - if they ever discontinue this product I'll more than likely spend a week mourning its loss.
I have been using DKR Regimen (from acne.org) for 12 months now, and as I live in Australia and have to have it shipped from America, the cost can get a bit high.
I was looking for something that would replace the moisturiser step in the regimen and picked this up at my local Priceline for $10 on special about 5-6 months ago and have probably bought 3 more tubes since then.
I love it - its a decent moisturiser, doesnt break me out (probably due to the fact I have a layer of benzoyl peroxide underneath), I can put it on and if I dont put makeup over it I'm pretty matte for most of the day and even if I get oily my skin looks dewy - not like a frying pan.
I've never used a make-up primer before (shock horror!!) so I dont know how it holds up to the claims its an ideal one.
The only cons I've got (and also why I've put it down to 4 lippies) : no SPF and its hard to get the last bits out of the bottom of the tube.
Definitely worth a try because its not too expensive, try it out over a weekend if you've got nothing on though, just in case you're prone to breaking out.

Finally a moisturizer that is light, but truly does moisturize. I have over 40 skin, but its still line free and I want to keep it that way. I just finished the first tube and must say I'm purchasing 2 more. Totally loving it.

This is probably the best moisturizer I have ever used. Doesn't make me break out, yet its moisurizing enough. Good primer for make-up(well good enough for me). I use a pea-size amount and its a good amount for me.

THis moisturizer stays true to whats said on the packaging. It is lightweight and takes away shine. Though it can be undermoisturizing sometimes(not moisturizing enough) it's a great product overall. It is photo friendly and it won't wash out your color. If you want to wear it during the day then, just make sure that your foundation/make up has some sunscreen or wear a simple sunscreen over top. If you have uneven skin tone and has to use a primer under your makeup then..NO worries! This product acts as a moisturizer and as a primer in one, since it is a gel formula , its light, it doesn't make you feel like you have a SHEET of oil over your skin and it absorbs into your skin quite fast^^

It absorbs super quick and it does moisturise your skin.
I like the feel it gives my skin. It's cheap and good.

This is my all time favorite moisturizer EVER. But, in the last few months I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I emailed Neutrogena and they said they are still making it. But, it's not even listed on tehir own website anymore, so I'm giving up hope. Does anyone have a comparable suggestion as far as price and consistancy? I have a very oily t-zone and am prone to breaking out.

Wow. Using this for a few days - and I instantly liked it. Reminds me of Avon's gel-creme "Moisture 24". Light, cool, and refreshing. What I really like is that it dries to a matte finish. No shine or break-outs for my oily skin. :-) I was looking for a simple, light moisturizer for under my mineral powder. No need for retinol or AHA during the day (since I use in the PM). And mineral powder has sunscreen in it. So this is perfect. I AM planning on re-purchasing. I think my 18-yr-old daughter will want her own tube, too. :-)
Update 7/2010: Switched back to Aveeno with Sunscreen.

I love love love this product!!!! I can never find it in the store though. If I did, I would buy their entire stock it's that good.

I love this smell of this moisturizer and the color of it. It feels very light even though it may appear thick to some people. Overall, i really like this moisturizer and it feels like my skin can breathe through this even if i was to apply foundation over this because i am super prone to acne so my skin can't handle a lot of products. If your prone to acne and have super sensitive skin like me you should give this product a try!

This product didn't work for me at all. Although it is very light and fast absorbing it did nothing in terms of keeping the oil at bay.
When you apply it to your skin and when it dries - it leaves the my skin feeling a little tight and definitely matte. Although I prefer moisturisers that leave my skin feeling supple (whilst still being non oily), this moisturiser would have been ok had it at least aided in keeping the oil away. After an hour my skin was very shiny and incredibly oily in my t-zone. I think this might be due to the fact that oily skin (such as mine) needs something that thoroughly moisturises sans oil, so that the skin doesn't over compensate with oil production.
So overall, it did nothing for me and it is probably better suited for persons with normal skin and not so much for persons with oily skin.

I really, REALLY love this moisturizer. I've been on the search for a new, daily moisturizer & I'm happy I got this on clearance for $2 a bottle. Very light & absorbs quickly (make sure you don't use too much) I love that it's oil free because my skin can be very sensitive at times. I apply this as soon as I get out of the shower while my face is still moist & it makes my skin feel amazing. continued >>

I've been using Neutrogena Fresh Moisture Ultra-Light Moisturizer for about a year now and I love it. It has perfect chemistry with my skin. I have very sensitive, combination/oily, acne-prone skin and almost anything makes me break out. But this is so refreshing and light-weight. It goes on silky smooth and it soaks in quickly. After using it on a daily basis for the past year, I have noticed that my skin looks and feels healthier overall. It's Oil-Free which I love because it doesn't clog my pores. I actually have less breakouts I think because it acts as a barrier from the elements. I highly recommend this moisturizer.

I didn't like this product at all. It broke me out and made my face look really shiny. I guess it's back to a search for a good moisturizer!

This is perfect for oily/acne prone faces. It's really light and gives just enough moisture to my skin. Never oily! The smell isn't noticable to me. It is around $12. (USD) for a 3 oz. tube but the tube last a long time since you only have to use a small amount each time. I can't find this in stores so i buy it from drugstore.com. I give it a 4 only because i would rather have a twist top instead of the flip top just because it's sometimes hard to travel with. That won't hold me back from buying this stuff again and again and again. This is a god-send for oily and acne prone faces! It is sooo worth the 12 bucks.

If you have combo, oily, or acne prone skin, this moisturizer is heaven in a no nonsense easy squeeze tube! It has a lovley light scent, and absorbs right into the skin. I use this solely at night and when I wake up my skin is luminous and plump. I have only on issue... I Cant Find It Anymore!!! Ive gone to every neutrogena selling retailer in my area, and have even driven as far as a tank of gas and back to find this and I still cant find it. My fear is im going to have to order it online from now on (i hate ordering in from the internet), but im so in love with this i'll endure shipping charges and tedious waiting periods. =]

it does exactly what it says in the box and i like that it's fast absorbing,light weight,soft,and comfterble feeling BUT what i don't like is that it has a fragance and a blue color and if you have sensitive skin you will break out. if only it didn't have the color and smell this will be the perfect moisturizer for me

I ADORE this! It's perfect for my acne-prone skin. It never breaks me out, if anything, it helps clear my breakouts. It's very light, yet very moisturizing. My skin absorbs this right up and then looks matte, but not dry. This is my HG moisturizer: it makes me glow and keeps my skin clear. Plus, it's dirt cheap! HG HG HG. If you have combination to oily acne-prone skin, give this a shot.It`s like a drink of water for the skin. I actually find the fragrance quite refreshing and not at all overwhelming.

I'm very acne prone and love this moisturizer. I've been using it for a few weeks and no problems have come up. I use this twice a day following a 5% benzoyl peroxide treatment and am very surprised at how moisturizing it is and how smooth my skin feels afterward.
Update: I've also been using a tiny bit for an eyeshadow base and am very pleased with the results.
